Palazzo Pretorio Museum in Prato
Reopening of the Museum of Pretorio Palace in Prato, showcasing masterpieces by great artists
Finally, after a long absence, the works of the Museum of Prato come back home. In the splendid Palazzo Pretorio, recently restored, we can admire masterpieces of the fourteenth and fifteenth century by Bernardo Daddi, Giovanni da Milano, Donatello, Filippo and Filippino Lippi. Works produced between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries by artists such as Alessandro Allori and Santi di Tito and the plaster collection by the famous sculptor Lorenzo Bartolini will be on display.
This will be another opportunity to show that Prato is a City of Art and Beauty. At Palazzo Pretorio has just closed successfully the exhibition "From Donatello to Lippi" with about 60,000 visitors and excellent reviews, and the exhibition "The art of plaster" dedicated to the donation Lipchitz, unique in Italy.
